The Challenge

Culture Calling has worked with Leeds Castle promoting the visitor attraction along with their accommodation offering for over seven years. Their target audience is a mixture of:

• Retirees
• Garden Lovers
• Music lovers for concerts
• Holidaymakers
• Day trippers
• Walking enthusiasts
• History Enthusiasts
• International Visitors – when they return

All these groups make up their huge visitor numbers; but the challenge is to insure all are reached to raise awareness and maximise tickets sales.

Each year, Leeds Castle plan a series of events which they like to promote through a series of striking leaflets and an annual What’s on schedule. It’s key that they then get these in front of their multiple target audiences, in the most optimal geographical locations and on time.

Leeds Castle are also undergoing a re-brand and keen to introduce this to audiences and showcase their new creative in print + digital marketing


The strategy

Culture Calling’s Total County service was a perfect choice for Leeds Castle – giving them wide coverage throughout Kent and Surrey plus East Sussex. In addition, we added on more intensive distribution in the nearby towns of Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells to insure people living close to the castle saw the event information and What’s On schedule 2022.

Leeds Castle are also tactically employing our Culture Calling weekly ‘What’s on’ newsletter to promote their ever popular Easter Egg hunt to families, tourists and locals alike.

The results
