CAMPAIGN OVERVIEW
THE BRIEF
The City of London approached us to support the promotion of the Lady Mayor’s Show 2025, marking the first time in 800 years that the event celebrates a woman taking office as Lady Mayor.
The brief was to raise awareness of this historic moment, drive attendance, and increase visibility for the event across both digital and print channels. We targeted London and surrounding Home Counties residents, including families and audiences with an interest in arts and culture.
THE CAMPAIGN
To engage Londoners and residents of surrounding areas, and to promote attendance for the Lady Mayor’s Show 2025, we delivered a combined print and digital campaign.
We distributed flyers across key central London locations, targeting families, arts and culture enthusiasts, as well as visitors in tourist and lifestyle hubs. We also organised direct handout shifts spread out in 10 days outside major City tube stations such as Liverpool Street, Farringdon, and Moorgate, along with key cultural destinations including the British Museum, the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum, and other strategic areas across London.
For the digital element, we ran a two-week campaign featuring social media boosted posts, a website event listing, and full-tenancy website coverage to reach a broad audience across Greater London and beyond. To reinforce visibility, we also secured a premium placement for the event in our Culture Calling weekly newsletter, reaching our 80K subscriber base.
THE RESULT
Main Newsletter – 28% open rate + 2.2% CTR
Solus Email to London Visual & Contemporary Arts segment – 31% open rate + 2.7% CTR
Social media campaign (two weeks) – 41,212 views + 949 clicks
Print – distributed to all relevant locations included in our Contemporary Arts run.
Attendance at the show exceeded expectations, and participating artists reported positive sales figures.
